Purusha sukta is actually narrates the creation of the mankind and the universe. And it is interesting to know that the Primordil God Braham was offered as Sacrifice in the Yajna and He springs up from the Altar again. There is controversy about depiction of Sudras as feet of Viswa Purusha. Feet are considered as less sacred when compared to other parts of a human body in Hindu thought. But it should be noted that all the body of a Human being is carried by feet and his mobility is determined by his feet. That is the importance given to Sudra in the society in the Hindu lore.
